Facial Rejuvenation Massage
Massage is a therapy in its own right and the use of essential
oils (aromatherapy) enhances the effect of this beneficial therapy. Its
aims are to increase the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids in order to
increase the release of toxins, to increase or decrease the energy flow of the
meridian lines (as in shiatsu), to break down tension in overworked, tired or
aching muscles and to tone under worked or weak muscles.
The aromatherapy prescription facial incorporates the use of essential oils,
enhanced by a small amount of shiatsu, lymph drainage and neuro muscular massage.
Shiatsu massage works on the principle of energy flow. A few shiatsu movements
are selected which work on certain pressure points on the face and head. Lymph
drainage massage is carried out on the superficial tissues. Movements like
these are carried out in aromatherapy to help improve the lymph flow and accelerate
the release of toxins. Neuro muscular massage involves movements following the
nerve pathways to improve both the nerve and the blood circulation.
